I am GRATEFUL for you, I am GRATEFUL for me...
Today is world gratitude day. There are many things I am grateful for and many things that I wish I could have done differently. My friend and colleague, Positive Psychology Practitioner Winnie Tsang, just gave a beautiful Gratitude presentation. Winnie had her participants take a few moments to write their milestones and date them. Then she directed everyone to breakout rooms to discuss the events and people surrounding the milestone. The instruction was to consult with a partner about what you were grateful for when a particular event came to mind. I left the zoom meeting before the breakout because just writing the milestones brought in a lot of emotions. I chose to sit and reflect quietly by myself, which inspired to write this post. I am grateful to each of my children and consider their birthdays' significant milestones. What are you thankful for today? What do you wish you had done differently? How can you turn the "I wish I had done this different memory into an event you are grateful for?" I am grateful for my mistakes because I learned a life lesson from them. Strawberry kisses made it feel better; with bumps, bruises, and all I knew from each event, I had to value the lesson I learned.
Our life lessons have a lot to teach us. We have to listen to them to hear their message.
For that, I am grateful.
Hugs, love, and hope to you,
